How I started here? Maybe it’s a bit unusual …

”I was in Sandnes, in a mall, when I saw a man acting like a robot. I followed him a little bit and ended up at Clas Ohlson,” says Kjell Inge.

Meet Kjell Inge Oftedal, our Group Security Manager (CSO.) He started with us in 1999 as a Team Leader in our store in Sandnes, Norway.

"It turned out the robot impersonator was working as a bouncer, bringing in people to the store. I recalled I had seen an ad for the position of team leader, so I applied. So, you could say I got in by chance,” says Kjell Inge.

Eight years on, he became store manager of the Madla store in Stavanger.

“I really like the people and culture of Clas Ohlson. I have personally always been interested in security work, so in parallel with being store manager, I studied that. Now, I look forward to starting as CSO,” Kjell Inge says.
